-> Given a rope of weight W hanging symmetrically making same angle on both ends as shown. Find the value of tension at the bottom-most point of the rope.
We can breakdown the forces other than the weight W of the rope as under:
We balance the forces on both vertical and horizonal axis.
The tension at the bottom-post point will be parallel (almost) to the horizontal since the rope is suspended in a symmetric fashion. Alhough this is a little crude approximation but good for an ideal case scenario.
